Initial new patient consultations are different from our routine check-ups as we will need more time to examine your teeth and take a detailed medical history. During the appointment, we will conduct a comprehensive examination of your teeth, gum, cheeks and tongue. We screen for oral cancer and any other related problems.
We often take x-rays of your teeth so we can get an idea of what is going on under the enamel and existing fillings. If we find any signs of tooth decay or gum disease, we will discuss this with you and recommend further treatment. If you want to become one of our patients, you can either phone us to make an appointment or register online.
We love welcoming new patients to our Practices. For the moment, however, the Scottish Government restrictions on NHS dental practices during the Covid-19 pandemic mean that we are not able to operate at our usual capacity. This means that, for now, our focus must be on caring for our existing patients.
If you are keen to join either of our Practices, please check our website again in 6 months when we hope to be in a position to welcome you to our Practice.
